Immigration and Visas
The Office of Administrative Affairs is the liaison with the University of Florida International Faculty & Scholar Services (IFSS). All visa applications for foreign faculty, housestaff and research scholars are routed through this office for review and approval.
Note: The University of Florida does not authorize outside attorneys to file petitions and applications on behalf of UF. Although we do work with attorneys on individual cases, UF prohibits the signing of a G-28 form and does not give out sub-accounts for the filing of PERM labor certifications. Also, an authorized person from the International Office and the COM Dean's Office must review and sign any preference petition, or other immigration document for which the University of Florida is the employer or sponsor.
