"If you shoot under par from the blue pads, you are a pro. Course record stands at 51 thrown by Gainesville's Matt Tittle. You should hit birdies on 2-5, otherwise you *will* be over par by the end of the round. There are very few other holes on which you can get a duece. I got a lucky sidearm 2 on hole 6 in the Boomtown Classic April 19, and have heard that that's the only two on that hole ever. There are a few on the back that you can duece, but the dueces there are rare. Anyone with a par on holes 16 or 17 should be very, very happy. I know that for the time being, the Dunellon Club does not know if this is going to be the permanent site, but a few course maintenance tips follow: Around the baskets on a few holes - when you don't have a putt within 10 feet of the basket, there is some trimming that needs doing; Low hanging oaks should be trimmed to over 6' to provide "out" shots; and some of the less than 3 inch diameter trees on the short hole fairways (3,4,5 & 12) could go. With a week of serious trimming, this course could be a championship course."

To heck with what that guy said about the dunnellon course. Its a great course, but what he said about trimming and what not is crap. The course is fine the way it is. If you can't hang with low branches and skinny trees in your fairway, then you need to take up regular Golf. The thin trees and branches are what make this cource so challenging and fun. if you can't play from the pro or am pads then go to the ladies. its real easy from there.
