One of the primary goals of our group is to understand the mechanism which underlies nutrient and hormonal induced activation of glucose transport in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. A micrograph of the differentiated 3T3-L1 cells is shown to the right. The red color is due to a dye which stains lipid droplets. Specific projects are described below.
