Graduate Education (Ph.D., MS)
Biomedical research training is available at the University of Florida College of Medicine in our Ph.D. program, the Interdisciplinary Program (IDP) in Biomedical Sciences.
The IDP consists of six interdepartmental advanced concentrations programs:
- Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
- Genetics
- Immunology & Microbiology
- Molecular Cell Biology
- Neuroscience
- Physiology & Pharmacology
Alumni
Most IDP graduates go on to postdoctoral research associate positions at major research universities or at the NIH. Others have gone on to positions in biotechnology, government research, or teaching, or continued their education in professional school.
