The next term for which applications for admission to the IDP will be accepted is Fall 2008.  The IDP admits students only in the Fall semester.

This is a calendar of the significant dates in the IDP Admissions process for the class entering in Fall 2008. It lists deadlines, important mailing dates, and the dates we have set aside for interviews. Keep in mind that deadlines are just the last day to accomplish a task. You should be aware that we will begin reviewing applications as soon as they arrive, and start setting up interviews with qualified candidates as soon as possible.

Experience has taught us that the most efficient course a prospective applicant can take is:

Summer to Early Fall 2007:  Take the GRE and (if applicable) TOEFL.

Early to Mid-Fall 2007:  Domestic applicants, submit your request for an application, either electronically or via the U.S. Postal Service. If circumstances require it, you can even fax in your request. International applicants should begin the electronic application process.

Late Fall 2007, before the Christmas Break:  Submit your full application.

January, 2008:  Submit your Fall 2007 Semester grades, and any other updated material you would like to have considered.

Annual application deadlines are December 15th for international applications and February 15th for domestic applications (or the following business day if the 15th is on a weekend or holiday).  

Monday, December 17, 2007	FINAL DEADLINE FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICATIONS AND FOR PRIORITY HANDLING OF DOMESTIC APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2008 IDP ADMISSION.  All materials for a complete application packet must be received by the IDP Admissions Office by this date for priority handling of your application packet.
Thursday, January 31	Last day Applications will be mailed to addresses within the United States and Puerto Rico AND LAST DAY FOR for Walk-In pick-up of Applications for the Fall 2008.
Sat.-Mon., February 9-11	1st Interview Visit. Arrival on Saturday evening. Lunch and campus tour with IDP students on Sunday afternoon. Dinner with IDP students & faculty. Breakfast reception on Monday morning, followed by interviews. Lunch with IDP students. Research tours & departure Monday afternoon.
Friday, February 15, 2008	FINAL DEADLINE FOR DOMESTIC APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2008 ADMISSION. All materials for a complete application packet must be submitted to, and received by, the IDP Recruiting and Admissions Office by or on this date.
Sat.-Mon., February 23-25	2nd Interview Visit. Arrival on Saturday evening. Lunch and campus tour with IDP students on Sunday afternoon. Dinner with IDP students & faculty. Breakfast reception on Monday morning, followed by interviews. Lunch with IDP students. Research tours & departure Monday afternoon.
Sat.-Mon., March 8-10	3rd Interview Visit. Arrival on Saturday evening. Lunch and campus tour with IDP students on Sunday afternoon. Dinner with IDP students & faculty. Breakfast reception on Monday morning, followed by interviews. Lunch with IDP students. Research tours & departure Monday afternoon.
Sat.-Mon., March 22-24	4th Interview Visit. Arrival on Saturday evening. Lunch and campus tour with IDP students on Sunday afternoon. Dinner with IDP students & faculty. Breakfast reception on Monday morning, followed by interviews. Lunch with IDP students. Research tours & departure Monday afternoon.
Tuesday, April 15, 2008	DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING OFFERS OF IDP ADMISSION. All applicants who have received an offer of admission for graduate study in the Fall of 2008 must declare their intention to attend or not attend the University of Florida.
