Daniel J. Driscoll

1. Co-Director, 2001 International Prader-Willi Syndrome Conference

The CMG coordinated and organized the 2001 International Prader-Willi Syndrome Conference held in St. Paul, MN June 27-29, 2001. There were 125 scientific registrants from 18 different countries, as well as 50 parent observers at this 3 day meeting. There were 50 scientific presentations including 17 invited speakers.

Seventeen CME credits were offered to physicians through the University of Florida College of Medicine. Financial support from the meeting was through registration fees, corporation and individual donations and a NIH conference grant (awarded to UF) through NICHD and NIDDK. The abstracts from this meeting will be published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics.

2. Recently elected as one of 4 members of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board to the International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organization.
