Continuing Medical Education Programs/Distance Learning

Geriatric programs are offered in rural sites through audio tapes which provide continuing education opportunities for health care practitioners, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, social workers and other health care professionals. This project is a collaborative effort between the UF-GEC and the North Florida AHECs.

Courses are also offered on the Internet for those health care providers outside the North Central Florida area. The on-line courses are a collaborative effort between the UF-GEC and the University of Florida College of Medicine's Office of Medical Infomatics.

All UF-GEC programs are offered at no cost to the participant or their facility.
