Directions
Neuro-Oncology at UF Shands Cancer Center is located at 2000 S.W. Archer Road, in Gainesville, Florida. Telephone: (352) 265-0725. The city of Gainesville, Florida is located on Interstate-75, approximately 2 hours north of Orlando and 1.5 hours southwest of Jacksonville, Florida.

From Interstate 75: Take Exit Number 75, the Archer Road (State Road 24) exit. Turn toward Gainesville (east) on Archer Road. The Cancer Center is about 3 miles from the I-75 exit at the intersection of Archer Road and North-South Drive (on the northwest corner). Get into the left turn lane at the traffic light and turn onto North-South Drive, which is part of the University of Florida campus.

From US Highway 441: If you are traveling on US Highway 441, turn west onto Archer Road (State Road 24). [From the south, turn left from left turn lane; from the north, follow curve to the right as road divides at this intersection.] The Cancer Center is about a half mile from the intersection of Archer Road and Highway 441. Turn right onto North-South Drive; there is a traffic light with a short-cut right turn lane. [This is the fourth traffic light after you turn onto Archer Road.]

On North-South Drive: The University of Florida UF Shands Cancer Center is part of the Shands Medical Plaza. From North-South Drive, turn right (east) onto the driveway to Shands Medical Plaza and the Cancer Center.


Parking
If your car has a handicap parking permit, you may park in designated spaces near the Medical Plaza. Otherwise, if you are a new patient or are returning for a check-up, you proceed to the parking garage (see above map). There is a $3.00 daily charge to park in the garage. After parking, you may ride a free shuttle bus or tram to the Cancer Center. The shuttle comes about every 10 to15 minutes. Do not park anywhere else without a parking pass; parking rules are strictly enforced by the the University Police Department.
