Jeff Hall reported that clerkship debriefing for 3rd years went well. It was announced that Dr. Dennis Hoban who is a candidate for a COMEC position is visiting today and is giving a presentation at noon in M112.
Dr. Watson announced that Dr. Berns has approved the center/lounge for students with a few teaching spaces in the back and the eventual renovation of COMEC office space.
Dr. Rooks announced the agenda for the first few months of the year. February 9 will be a continuing discussion of the third and 4th year curriculum. Another meeting Dr. Rathe will present an integrative approach to an informatics curriculum?

Dr. Lowenthal reviewed the curriculum year by year. It was noted that the amount of geriatrics in MAGNA presently has not changed.
Dr. Romrell indicated that we need a course director and a followup.
The motion made by Dr. Rooks is to endorse the second installment of the geriatric curriculum and encourage Dr. Lowenthal to proceed with the plan for this model. Dr. Small seconded the motion. All members were in favor of this motion. The plan was endorsed.
