Dr. Euliano is preparing plans for a fourth year required Anesthesia Course, which will cover anesthesia and critical care. It will involve nine rotations, accommodating 14 students each. They will make use of the patient simulator in the Brain Institute, which has a capacity now to certify people in ACLS. Dr. Watson commented that he is happy to see that anesthesia is coming back and believes that it is a very important part of our curriculum.
Dr. Rarey presented a report of the recent clerkship and student retreat. The
main topic of this agenda was the new student evaluation system and how to better
accomplish formative feedback during the clerkships. Dr. Rarey handed out a
document which outlined the results of the retreat.
