Announcements

Becky Pauly has been appointed the Director of the EPC Course and also Chair of the PBE Oversight Committee. She'll also serve as Medical Director of the Harrell Center.

Dr. Duerson has transferred her appointment to the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Koroly reported that the course directors are getting closer to the completion of a competency based evaluation form for the first two years.

Dr. Rarey reports that Medical Education Week will be next week.

Agenda

Shireen Madani, a fourth year medical student, presented her critique of the student's perspective of the curriculum. She discussed each of the principles of educational design that we adopted and stated how the students felt we were progressing and realizing these educational goals. She provided a handout that summarized her findings.

The Committee commended Shireen for her excellent presentation, which generated a very good discussion on the curriculum as a whole.
