Intramural Education Grants

Three objectives of the intramural funds are to:

  1. Assist in the development of new educational programs or improvement of existing programs within the College of Medicine. The COMEC will give special consideration to proposals from investigators that address the utilization of the clinical presentation model, which can allow greater integration of basic and clinical sciences within our educational program. Sound hypotheses and experimental designs are expected. Other submitted proposals will also be considered.
  2. Conduct pilot studies related to teaching and evaluation of educational techniques, materials or programs.
  3. Expand the College of Medicine's ability to provide effective medical education.

Educational funds (up to $5,000) will be awarded after review of submitted proposals by the COMEC Advisory Committee and selection by the Directors of COMEC. The fifth round of grants will be announced on this page when they become available. Grant guidelines and proposal forms can be found at http://www.med.ufl.edu/oea/comec/grant.html and http://www.med.ufl.edu/oea/comec/.

Further information about the education grants can be obtained by contacting Dr. Kyle E. Rarey at COMEC (273-5755).
