Dr. Rarey opened the meeting with the review of the data from the Biochemistry course from academic year 2003/04.

Dr. Rarey reviewed with the committee the evaluation form guidelines.

Dr. Novak commented on the multiple sub-internships for pediatrics. Dr. Rarey stated that this is something the ESC needs to pursue.

Dr. Ritz discussed the status of the Residency Competency reports.

Lou Ann Cooper asked for the number of competencies that are being evaluated. Currently there are 13.

Dr. Romrell explained that collaborations of both sets of data will be compared to create a similar form.

Dr. Rarey explained that all participants need to use the same form.

Dr. Romrell will notify Dr. Duff of the status of the report and set a meeting to review the format of the residency evaluation form.

Dr. Novak & Romrell stated the importance of presenting the data to the residency directors.

Dr. Rarey asked Molrine Tracy about the competencies of experiencing the evaluation of the descriptors as a 4th year med student. Molrine explained that she feels that there is an accurate analysis.

Dr. Romrell will show indicators of competencies at the next ESC meeting.
