Dr. Rarey opened the meeting with a overall review of all courses & clerkships.
Dr. Ritz expressed that the appendix should include an explanation of the percentages formulation.
Dr. Ritz also stated that possibly the student evaluation data should not be included in the report.
Dr. Romrell explained that this is important data that is relevant.
Dr. Rarey explained that the data is used to express "trends" or note changes from a student's perspective or experience.
Dr. Duckworth stated that the evaluation of a course or clerkship by the course director's report might not be the only source of the review process.
Paulette Hahn stated that the faculty should be "educated" about how their course syllabus & written report is evaluated.
Dr. Stevens expressed that he felt the students need to be "on the same page" as the course/clerkship director.
Dr. Romrell reinforced that the UF as a whole is currently structuring an overall campus wide format that will require adherence by all directors.
Dr. Rarey closed the meeting by announcing that he has asked Dr. Bruce Stevens to become a member of the ESC. Dr. Stevens has accepted.
