Faculty Development
Goal:
The Faculty Development Office endeavors to advance the expertise, knowledge and skills of the College of Medicine faculty in efforts to enhance the quality of medical education at the University of Florida.
Objectives:
- To identify faculty needs and provide the support to further their professional and educational goals
- To promote educational activities through Educational Grand Rounds, the Medical Education Journal club and Medical Education Week
- To support faculty members who are interested in pursuing medical educational research and educational theory through the Master Educator Fellowship
- To enhance the teaching skills of residents through the Residents as Educators program
- To recognize excellence in medical educators through the Society of Teaching Scholars
- To annually recognize exemplary members of our teaching faculty
- To promote Research in Medical Education (RIME)
