Fellow Responsibilities
Each participant will:
- Attend 80-percent of all didactic sessions.
- Present three lectures or feedback sessions to students (or a combination thereof). Fellows will be video-recorded once during the first six months of the Fellowship, once during the second six months and once during the final six months.
- Participate in two standardized student interventions, one as the subject and one as the instructor.
- Prepare a teaching portfolio.
- Design and implement an educational research project, and present data at local, regional and/or national meetings.
- Actively participate in faculty development activities, including monthly Educational Grand Rounds and Club Med meetings.
Time Commitment:
The Master Educator Fellowship is an 18-month program to be held from January 2007 to June 2008. Two two-hour sessions will be held each month. Additional practical workshops may also be scheduled. These lectures/workshop times will be arranged around the accepted participants' schedules.
