The Office of Student Affairs has many functions. It insures that students are properly registered for all basic science courses and clinical clerkships and electives. It maintains the academic records of all students and serves as a reference source for inquiries from future employers and licensing agencies. Staff members plan many of the major student activities such as orientation programs for all classes, Family and Friends Day for First Year Students, Match Day, the Honors Convocation, and Commencement. Perhaps the most important function of the office is assisting students in negotiating the residency and match application process and in deciding upon their future area of specialization. All members of the Office of Student Affairs are firmly committed to insuring that students feel like valued members of an extended family. Our office exists precisely to be of service to you, and we welcome every opportunity to assist you in your career progression and professional development.
