Patient Care at the College of Medicine
Transferring the outcomes of medical science research to the care of patients is a major emphasis of the faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
The Science of Hope
The application of medical science research in patient care settings adds to the academic health centers uniqueness. Throughout the years research efforts of faculty joined with excellent patient care have built a science of hope leading to improved diagnostic tests, rehabilitative services and medical treatments.
UF College of Medicine faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges, as well as those from across the campus. These include the Evelyn F. and William L. McKnight Brain Institute, the UF Shands Cancer Center and the UF Genetics Institute.
The science of hope is applied throughout the more than 40 satellite practices managed by the Faculty Group Practice/UF Physicians in north Florida, providing patients with excellent care using the most current research and technology.
