In regards to faculty evaluations in the College of Medicine, please note the following:The College of Medicine Faculty Compensation Plan evaluation period is July 1 - June 30, in order to complete the evaluation process prior to any raise date set by the Legislature. These same periods of time will be used for the annual evaluation required under Section 6C1-7.010, Florida Administrative Code. Introductory paragraph. If you are writing one letter to a faculty member for both, the annual performance evaluation and the performance evaluation under the compensation plan, please use the paragraph below as an introductory paragraph: Pursuant to Section 6C1-7.010, Florida Administrative Code and the University of Florida College of Medicine Faculty Compensation Plan, this letter serves to evaluate your perofrmance as [name of position] for the period of July 1,20XX - June 30, 20XX.
Format for the letters. The letter should note the faculty member's assignment by mission and performance by mission with as much detail as reasonably possible. The letter should also note any change in their assignment for the next evaluation period. Not all faculty are part of the compensation plan. Most, but not all, faculty are part of the Faculty Compensation Plan. Visiting and faculty at affiliated locations are not part of the plan. Every salaried faculty member must receive an annual performance evaluation. The evaluation period will be the same as for faculty in the Compensation Plan. Copies of the performance evaluations for all faculty are due by date indicated in annual letter from the Dean's Office (middle of August) to Rachel Dotson in the Dean's Office (Medical Science Building, Room G1-016 ~ P.O. Box 100005).
