VACANT FACULTY POSITIONS


Equity Compliance Process - Step 1



____ 1.On-line Submission of Position Vacancy Announcement.
____ 2. Letter of Justification/Request (Original only)
(Must indicate source of funding, whether the position is new or replacement, whether or not the position is included in departmental budget, and whether the position will require any additional space.)
____ 3. "List of External Experts", "List of Five", & "List of Alumni" for both female and minority candidates
(One copy with chair's signature--not required for Lecturers, Instructors, or Assistant/Associate Ins.)
____ 4. Statement of Duties and Responsibilities or Position Description
(Two copies)
____ 5. Outside Announcement
(Two copies) Advertising is required in at least two outside publications that reach potential female and minority candidates. All advertisements must contain the following elements: A)Proposed University title B)Minimum degree and experience requirements C)Anticipated start date D)Application deadline date E)Brief statement of duties and responsibilities F)Name and address of search committee chair G)"Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer" H)Minimum salary or "negotiable".
