Research

Our research group investigates the cellular, molecular and physiological actions of angiotensin II (Ang II) in the brain. Of particular interest are:

  • The intracellular mechanisms by which AT1-receptors and AT2-receptors couple to changes in neuronal activity and gene expression.

  • The role of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) as a regulator of the physiological actions of Ang II in the brain.

  • The putative cellular and physiological actions of AT2-receptors in the brain.
