My research concerns the control of ACTH, vasopressin and renin secretion. In particular, I am interested in the changes in these hormone systems throughout development - from fetal life to adult life.

My lab is involved with the investigation of mechanisms controlling parturition in fetal sheep. We are also interested in the role of chemoreceptors and mechanoreceptors in the control of ACTH, vasopressin and renin responses to cardiovascular stress in the fetus. Experiments are performed using the chronically catheterized and instrumented fetal, neonatal and adult sheep.

Here you will find more information about the members of my lab, my wife's lab and their individual projects along with some insight into our fascination with the ovine model. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
