Research Compliance
Compliance at the College includes state, federal, and local policies that are established to regulate any research, especially research involving human or animal subjects, select agents, including recombinant DNA. The Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) oversees laboratory biosafety including proper procurement, storage, use, and disposal of potential biohazards, such as recombinant DNA, chemical hazards, and radioisotopes at the College of Medicine and University-wide.
Clinical Trials
The Clinical Trial Compliance (CTC) office coordinates activities related to clinical investigations for the University of Florida, College of Medicine. With a focus on training and education, CTC is involved in developing policies and procedures and implementing education programs for clinical trial investigators, administrators, coordinators, and other study personnel. CTC is also responsible for monitoring and conducting clinical investigations regarding reporting concerns; and conducting routine compliance reviews.
