UF Internal Deadline Procedure
Certain agencies announce Requests for Applications that limit the number of proposals that can be submitted by the University. In these instances, the COM Research Administration and Compliance will post an internal deadline for interested faculty to submit a Letter of Intent to the Office for Research Affairs.
If there are more applicants interested in submitting a proposal than the agency's guidelines allow for, an internal review process will be coordinated by Dr. Kirsten Madsen in the Office for Research Compliance. For this purpose, the applicants will be requested to submit a brief summary of the proposed project and a copy of their CV. The Office Research Development will only coordinate the requests that are specifically for health related projects. RGP will coordinate all other requests.
There is not always a candidate who applies for an award. If you are interested in a funding opportunity and the internal deadline has passed, check with ORD to see if this opportunity is still available.
