PHS 2590 forms now available (Rev. 05/01):
All applications received on or after January 10, 2002 must use the new forms. After this date, applications using the previous version (rev. 4/98) will be returned to the applicant. See a summary of the changes made to the forms.

1) The Department of Sponsored
Research will be offering a Research Administrators Training series during
2002. The invitation will be sent out campus wide, within the next week,
which lists the various topics to be covered during the coming year. The
weblink is still being created for online registration.
We wanted to give you advance notice of the series; since online registration
is not yet available. The date of the first session is titled "The
Division of Sponsored Research - How We Work" and will take place on
January 23rd from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m in Reitz Union, Room
349. If you plan to attend the session please call 392-3516 to sign
up.

2) American Heart Association (National)/American Heart Association (Affiliate) deadlines are right around the corner. Proposals for the Established Investigator Grant - 01/14/02, the Scientist Development Grant - 01/14/02, Grant-in-Aid - 01/15/02 and the Affiliate 2002 Research Awards - 01/18/02 will all be submitted electronically to AHA. As a reminder, these proposals must be routed through all applicable channels, for signature, before they are electronically submitted to the AHA. (Posted 12/28/2001)

1) National Medical Fellowships, Inc., with the Harvard AIDS Institute is now accepting applications for the 2002-2003 Arthur Ashe (Fellowship) Program in AIDS Care. This program fosters minority physicians to address the enormity of the AIDS crisis among communities of color. Applications are due to National Medical Fellowships, Inc., March 4, 2002. Only 3 applications will be accepted from the University of Florida. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Robert Watson, Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs.
