WHAT'S NEW

1) The Health Center IRB-01 has moved to CB-172
in the Communicore Basement. The closest entrance to this office is through the
stairwell on the east side of the Sun Terrace Food Court. Take these stairs down
to the basement floor, take a left, then a right; the office will be on the
left. This entrance should be open and unlocked from 8-5 Monday through Friday.
If the door is locked call the IRB office at 846-1494 to gain access.

2) Aundrea Corbit has joined the Office for
Research Affairs as our Senior Grants Specialist. Aundrea comes to us from the
Research Office in the Department of Pediatrics. Aundrea also has proposal
processing experience with the Research and Graduate Program, Division of
Sponsored Research Office. Her position will be responsible for processing all
COM proposals for the Dean’s Office. She will also be available to aid all
faculty and staff in Research Administration. Aundrea can be reached at aundreac@dean.med.ufl.edu as of
Monday 11/05/01.

1) Pfizer/American Geriatrics
Society Foundation for Health in Aging is accepting applications for the 2002
Junior Faculty Scholars Program for Research on Health Outcomes in Geriatrics.
Only 3 applications will be submitted from the College of Medicine. Applications
