NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

1) The National Eye Institute (NEI) is accepting applications for Supplements for Technology Enhancement in NEI-Funded Laboratories. 3) The National Eye Institute (NEI) is accepting applications for Collaborative Research on Therapy for Visual Disorders. 4) Pfizer is accepting applications for the 2002 competition for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Cardiovascular Medicine.  Applications are due to ORA January 18, 2002 for an internal competition. CONFERENCES AND WORKSHOPS

1) The Bloomington campus of Indiana University is offering a “Scientist and Subjects” (SAS) web-based seminar on the Ethics of Research with Human Subjects. This unique and innovative Internet-based seminar, funded by the National Institutes of Health, is designed for busy researchers who are concerned with the responsible conduct of research human subjects.  The seminar will begin with a face-to-face retreat on April 25-28, 2002, and will conclude with an interactive but asynchronous Internet-based discussion throughout the months of May, June, and July 2002.
