2) "NIH will continue to provide the pre-printed PHS 2590 Face Page for awards with start dates through September 2002. After September 2002, as a part of our transition to electronic forms and submission, the NIH will discontinue mailing the pre-printed PHS 2590 Face Page. Notification of a Progress Report due date will become electronic.

Also for your convenience, the PHS 2590 is now available on our website as a fillable form (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/2590/2590.htm ) . You may complete the PHS 2590 face page that is online instead of the preprinted version, as long as all information is complete and accurate. 3) To help accelerate the initial budget release into new grant and contract accounts, DSR on August 17, 2001, launched the Pilot Program for Initial Budget Releases. This pilot program replaced (for new awards only) the budget release process that was previously initiated at the Department level by completing and submitting a TR20 to Contracts and Grants.
