REMINDER:

RGP’s Proposal Processing Section will be available in Room M- 559 Medical Sciences building for the upcoming October 1 NIH deadline to provide proposal processing services to faculty and staff in the Health Science center. The service will include authorized institutional signature. Overnight courier service will not be provided by DSR for these proposals.

Proposal Processing services will be available on the following schedule:

September 27 1-5 p.m.

September 28 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

October 1 8 a.m.-12 noon

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET:

It is requested that a file copy be provided for DSR at the time the proposal is received for processing. Proposal processing can be reached at the Health Science Center at 392-7730.

1) DSR Proposal Processing Mail Log Now Available Online

Dear Principal Investigators and Research Administrators: We are pleased to inform you that the DSR Proposal Processing Mail Log is now available on the web.

The mail log’s link has been added to the DSR web page at http://rgp.ufl.edu/research/, under the Proposal Development button. The direct link is as follows: http://rgp.ufl.edu/research/pml.html.

This mail log is intended to provide Principal Investigators and Research Administrators easy access to information concerning their grant proposal status, award negotiation status, and other related mail being handled by our Proposal Processing Group. You may search the log by PI Name, Agency, and Date. As always, if you have any questions concerning a proposal or the status of an award negotiation, please do not hesitate to contact DSR’s Proposal Processing Group at 392-9267.

1) FastLane Training Session Set for October 10

Research & Graduate Programs and the Training & Development division of UF Personnel Services are pleased to offer a two-hour training session on the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) FastLane electronic proposal system. This workshop is appropriate for both faculty and staff involved with the NSF grant submission process. The session will be Wednesday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to noon in 316 Stadium West and will be taught by Dana Rechsteiner, Coordinator of Research Services, RGP.
