New Web Design for ORA
The College of Medicine Office for Research Affairs website has a new design. The new look which was designed using Dreamweaver MX Education Version was created by Nichole Smith, a student in the Computer Engineering Department at the University of Florida.
Please note the site contains javascript that is best viewed in MS Internet Explorer. There are still a few minor things that need to be worked out before the site is fully operational. ORA welcomes any suggestions you may have in making the site better. For questions or suggestions, please e-mail Aundrea Corbit or Cindy Weinbrecht.

NIH Opens Website with Non-Competing Grant Progress Report Due Date Information
As
discussed in the May 2, 2002 Notice http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-02-047.html,
the
last hard copy mailing of pre-printed face pages was mailed in late June for
those progress reports with November 2002 start dates. Beginning with
December 2002 start dates and beyond; e.g., those progress reports due on/after
October 1, 2002, grantees will need to access a website to determine which
progress reports are due.
Now available at: http://era.nih.gov/userreports/pr_due.cfm
the NIH
Office of Extramural Research has launched a website of Non-competing Progress
Report due date information. Principal Investigators and Grants Administrators
can query using their Institutional Profile Number (IPF) to return a list
of "due" progress reports. The University of Florida's IFP number
is 513806. If for some reason you are not certain of the
IPF, a companion query is also available at the site to help determine the
appropriate Institutional Profile Number. Information will be updated around
the 30th of each month.
Electronic
submission of the Progress Report is still in the development stage, therefore,
Progress reports should continue to be mailed directly to the NIH awarding
Institute/Center. A list of Institute/ Center mailing addresses for progress
reports is found at:
http://grants.nih.gov/grants/type5_mailing_addresses.htm.
Since The Division of Sponsored Research will no longer receive pre-printed Face pages from NIH with the due dates, the College of Medicine, Office of Research Affairs will make an effort to notify PI's/Grant Administrators that a particular deadline is approaching . This e-mail notification will begin with those Progress reports due on October 1, 2002. However, it is ultimately the PI's responsibility to make sure his/her Report is on time.
Questions concerning this query should be addressed to the eRA Helpdesk: e-mail: Commons@od.nih.gov. Questions concerning submission of progress reports should be directed to the specific NIH Institute/Center.
