announcement is to encourage basic research on the structures of membrane

PROJECT REQUIREMENT: MASTER CONTRACT FOR PRECLINICAL
DEVELOPMENT:
NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-03-18 (NOT-AI-02-012)
The purpose of this announcement is two-fold: first, to inform potentially interested individuals, institutions and organizations of a draft project requirement of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), designed to establish a contract for the Development Resources Master Contract, and second, to solicit comments from interested parties with respect to the scope, design and requirements of this draft solicitation.
Please note that proposals are not being solicited at this
time. With this announcement, the NIAID is soliciting comments and
recommendations on draft Statement of Work in order to: (1) determine interest
in this solicitation; (2) assure that requirements included in the documentation
will meet the intent of the solicitation; and very importantly, (3) identify or
clarify what may appear to be problems, conflicts, or obstacles for an
institution or organization that might otherwise wish to become a potential

Guide: HIV VACCINE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT TEAMS RFP:
NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-03-12 (NOT-AI-02-009)
The Division of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (DAIDS) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), has a requirement for the development of an efficacious vaccine against HIV for worldwide use in stemming the AIDS epidemic.
It is anticipated that up to six (6) cost reimbursement, completion type contracts will be awarded for a period of five (5) years, beginning approximately February 17, 2003. RFP-NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-03-12 will be available electronically on or about March 15, 2002, and may be accessed through the NIAID Contract Management Branch (CMB) Home Page by using the following electronic address and instructions: NIAID/CMB Home Page (via the World Wide Web): Access by using http://www.niaid.nih.gov/contract and select the "RFPs" link and then select "RFP-NIH-NIAID-DAIDS-03-12."

Guide: INTER-INSTITUTE PILOT
PROGRAM FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AIDS-RELATED THERAPEUTICS
The Inter-Institute Program for the Development of AIDS-Related Therapeutics (IIP) is co-sponsored by The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and National Cancer Institute (NCI). Investigators are invited to submit proposals to this drug development program.
The current deadline for receipt of applications is June 1, 2002; no later than May 1, 2002 a Letter of Intent must be submitted to the Inter-Institute Program Coordinator.
