2) Association of American
Medical Colleges and Harvard
Medical School, Department of Continuing Education is sponsoring the AAMC Early Career Women
Faculty Professional Development Seminar.The Seminar will be held in Sante Fe, New Mexico, December 14-17, 2002.
This seminar
is for women early in their first faculty appointment who are aiming for a
position of leadership in academic medicine (associate professors are not
eligible).It is targeted primarily at physicians but is also pertinent for
Ph.D. scientists.Even though, far more than this applies, the number of
participants is limited to 120 to keep workshops small.
Each
applicant should submit a supporting letter from her dean, section or
department head describing how her goals for attending the seminar relate to
