1)Please make note of the deadline date correction on the ORA web site for the The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.Applications are due July 1, 2002, not June 1, 2002 as posted 05/10/02.

2)National Cancer Institute http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-CA-02-018.html(NOT-CA-02-018) As of the release date of this Notice, the annual salaries for high school and undergraduate students participating in the Continuing Umbrella of Research Experiences (CURE) program at cancer centers will receive the equivalent of the State or Institutional minimum wage.The salaries as stated in the Guidelines are no longer effective.All other allowable direct costs within the maximum allowable direct cost level of $60,000 will remain the same. 4)Health Insurance Rate Increase.For budgetary purposes you may want to consider using the new rates on grant proposals.All insurance rates will be increased by 13% and will be posted when the official rate is given.

NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

1)The American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation (AAOGF) is seeking to identify potential future academic leaders and to stimulate their development through the support of advanced scientific scholarships.AAOGF Scholarships are for $100,000 per year and may be renewed for a total of three years.Additional guidelines and brochure is available in the Office for Research Affairs, 392-5398.The deadline for submission August 15, 2002

2)William T. 3)National Humanities Center Fellowships The National Humanities Center offers 40 residential fellowships for advanced study.Scholars from any nation and humanistically inclined individuals from the natural and social sciences, the arts, the professions, and public life, as well as fields of the humanities, are eligible. 5)Donald W.
