Certain agencies announce Requests for Applications that limit the number of proposals that can be submitted by the University. In these instances, the Office for Research Affairs will post an internal deadline for interested faculty to submit a Letter of Intent to the Office for Research Affairs.

If there are more applicants interested in submitting a proposal than the agency's guidelines allow for, an internal review process will be coordinated by ORA.ORA will only coordinate the requests that are specifically for health related projects. RGP will coordinate all other requests. There is not always a candidate who applies for an award. If you are interested in a funding opportunity and the internal deadline has passed, check with ORA to see if this opportunity is still available.
