DISABILITY INSURANCE
Disability insurance should be pro-rated and added to the fringe benefits to give a total fringe benefit amount
AEF Long Term Disability Rates:
Effective July 1, 2008 for Clinical Faculty & Housestaff
- Clinical Faculty-1.21% of salary requested
- Housestaff-0.20%/year
ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT (AD/D)
AD/D insurance should be pro-rated by percent of effort and added to the fringe benefits to give a total fringe benefit amount
AEF AD/D Rates:
Effective July 1, 2008 for Clinical Faculty & Housestaff
- Clinical Faculty-$39.60/year
- Housestaff-$2.64/year
AEF PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
Professional liability insurance is an approximate assessment per clinical faculty by specialty. Liability insurance should be budgeted on grants that have clinical faculty whose research participation involves patient contact, should be pro-rated by percent effort, and budgeted as other expense.
